Overview

The Company is expanding its Peptelligence(TM) platform of peptide oral drug delivery and manufacturing assets and capabilities with the goal of establishing a portfolio of partnered opportunities. Unigene plans to generate near-term revenue from feasibility studies and service fees and establish a solid foundation for potential high-value milestones and royalties. Our goal is to apply our Peptelligence platform to as many therapeutic peptide programs as possible and help our partners co-develop those peptides through advanced clinical testing and commercialization.

Unigene has developed a strong patent portfolio covering its platform technologies.  The company has patents and applications on recombinant technology extending to 2025; on amidating technology extending to 2026; and on oral delivery technology extending to 2028.

The Company is investing its technology to build a diversified portfolio of partnerships focusing on three specific target segments of the 200+ approved or development stage peptides; life cycle management of approved peptides, peptides with limited potential due to route of administration and development stage peptides with questionable viability by injectable administration.
